Pet Fosters Receive Delivery of Goods to Help Them #StayHomeAndFoster

With so many of us working remotely, self-isolating, social distancing or otherwise just staying home, there has never been a better time to foster a pet. Pet companionship is scientifically proven to reduce stress, and you’ll be providing a crucial service to your local shelter—you’ll be saving lives by taking this action.

Pet foster volunteers from the Humane Society of North Texas and the SPCA of Texas will begin receiving foster kits with donated pet supplies from GreaterGood.org and delivered free of charge via Wag! Now, to help them #StayHomeAndFoster.

Pet caregivers on the WAG! Now platform will pick up donated foster kits for dogs from the Humane Society of North Texas as well as the SPCA of Texas and deliver them to approximately 200 local volunteer foster homes throughout the Dallas area. They will also deliver dogs with the foster kits when needed. The Animal Rescue Site contributes the contents of the kits, including food bowls, collars, leashes, treats, toys and poop bags.

For individuals and families who are able to welcome a shelter animal into their home, join the #StayHomeAndFoster movement here.
